I’d like to talk about switching over to the new compiler for the next release October 18th at this meeting. One idea is to switch CmdStan over to using it and merge it into the Stan repo as the new /lang folder. CmdStan’s make build target would then try to download the stanc binary; make build-stanc would actually try to build it from source assuming you have OCaml et al installed. Something like that.
Is it a possibility to deploy the old and the new parser in 2.21.0? Just a thought.
