I’d generally go with something like:
Joseph, M., Exact sparse CAR models in Stan 2016, Stan Case Studies. Available: Exact sparse CAR models in Stan

There was a thread on providing DOIs for all talks and case studies, which could make life a little easier but AFAIK only talks have DOIs so far.

How to cite case studies + DOIs?

Should we try to figure out how to assign DOIs to case studies? That’d push us one step closer to being a journal. All we’d need is a title, maybe something snappy like Stan Case Studies, and volume numbers and maybe even page numbers. For now, the way to cite is: Cooney, Mick (2017). DOIs for StanCon contributed talks

I would very much like to provide DOIs for all of the past and future StanCon contributed talks hosted at I know very little about the process of obtaining DOIs and I have seen conflicting information online about the steps required (e.g. do we really need to go directly to a DOI registration agency or can we use some simpler intermediary service?).
