Postdoc position in Bayesian inference for cell biology at Uppsala University, Sweden

Would you like to use your Stan skills for cancer research?

Or are you a mathematical biologist/modeller who would like to get Stan experience through research work and collegial support?

We have an open postdoc position in Bayesian inference for cell biology applications at Uppsala University, Sweden.

We are looking for candidates with a (current or upcoming) PhD in mathematics/statistics/machine learning/physics/similar and a keen interest in using mathematics and statistics for applications in cancer research.

The selected candidate will work with @hamis @mans_magnusson and experimental biologists.

Project description: Advances in molecular staining and cell imaging have resulted in a multitude of spatio-temporal cell imaging data. These data hold rich information about how cells act and interact. The postdoctoral researcher’s main task will be to develop Bayesian inference methods and pipelines that, via mathematical modelling, quantify cell actions and cell-to-cell interactions from cell imaging data.
