Unable to log into discourse via google account anymore

Henrik Singman told me via email that he cannot log into Stan discourse anymore. He writes

My account there is coupled to my google account. And when I try to login “with Google” a new window opens with the following error message:

400. That’s an error.

Error: redirect_uri_mismatch

The redirect URI in the request, https://discourse.mc-stan.org/auth/google_oauth2/callback, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client. Unfortunately I am logged out at my PC so I cannot post about this problem on Discourse itself.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I think the servers here are managed by Discourse.org . @syclik, @seantalts, you know who to message? There’s a discourse discourse somewhere right?

Yeah, but I haven’t been in contact with them. I suspect it’s the recent HTTPS switch?

Thanks, @seantalts, for that note. I had to get int and update the callback url in Google’s Developer API. I hope that fixes it.
