What to do with install issues?

Hi there,

I’m installing/upgrading to R 4.0.3, and I’ve run into issues with installing rstan. Is there a recommended approach for dealing with install issues? I have 26 warnings, so I’m guessing that means I shouldn’t ignore them.

Fwiw, the example model on this page (https://github.com/stan-dev/rstan/wiki/RStan-Getting-Started) runs. I’m hoping to head off any future issues that may have been created by the 26 warnings during installation.

Should I:

  1. ignore the warnings - YOLO!
  2. dump the 1e6 lines of warnings here, for you to enjoy
  3. nag the developers on github

It really depends on what the warnings are and when they appear. Can you put up maybe 1e2 lines of warnings and a description of when they appear? Also, what OS are you on?
