Hello. I use cmdstanr because of the toolchain issue with rstan. Now I want to use rstanarm so that I can follow a case study. Would it run or does rstanarm depend on rstan? Thanks. Is there any workaround if needed?
rstanarm requires rstan, and there’s no workaround. Or more accurately, the workaround is to resolve the toolchain issues. An alternative workaround is to port the rstanarm models to brms, which for most models probably won’t be terribly difficult as you work through the case study.
