No error message from rstan in macbook

I cannot see any error messages from rstan in macbook.

If my stan code is correct, it is working normally, but it does not show any error signs even though it definitely has errors. (Nothing happens!)

I have a window computer, so I run the same wrong rstan codes in windows version R, but it shows the exact point that I made a mistake.

Do I have to upgrade my R version to 4.0.0 or above?

That is the easiest thing to do. Getting everything to work on Macs with R 3.x requires installing a lot of packages from source with exactly the right stuff in ~/.R/Makevars .
