In Pursuit of Research Paper: Donovan's Insight on Estimating Average Treatment Effects in Ordinal Models

Dear colleagues, I hope this is an appropriate forum to ask for help. I figure some of you may be into this topic.

I recently came across a reference in a video related to BRMS on ordinal data (accessible here), where the speaker references a paper authored by Donovan and a collaborator. Around the 41-minute mark, they delve into the intricacies of estimating average treatment effects in ordinal models.

It’s been suggested that Donovan’s work from (now) approximately 5 years ago challenges the meaningfulness of means in ordinal models. Unfortunately, the details are somewhat elusive. I am actively seeking more information and a copy of this intriguing paper.

If any of you have insights into Donovan’s paper or its accessibility, kindly share your knowledge in the comments or through a direct message.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
