I havent play with these approaches. But do know the sign correction doesnt work with every case, for example its more complicated for latent class models. These iterative methods might help in some of these scenarios
Also, for general SEM, i contribute for the package blavaan, which adds a lot of extra functionality. It does not wor for negative binomial. But works well for continuous items, and categorical indicators will be added soon
