I cannot use stan in Mac, it shew that:
Error in if (nchar(CXX) == 0) { : argument is of length zero
if I didn’t install Xcode, is there anyway to solve this problem?

no, I didn’t, but I saw one of the solution should install Xcode.
It looks like you have installed R. How did you install it?
