Cognitive (neuro) science StanConnect 2021

You can see examples here GitHub - stan-dev/stancon_talks: Materials from Stan conferences

It just needs to be a self explanatory walk through to your Stan code that includes the data and the checks, summaries and visualizations that you did. It can be fairly short, and at the minimum it’ll be more or less the content of your slides + reproducible code.

Hey folks, unfortunately thanks to a combination of unexpected urgent workload and being bumped up a surgical wait list (and to be fair my failure to prepare sufficiently well in advance to accommodate such deviations from planned timelines), I won’t be available to give my talk Friday nor do I have a notebook ready. I do intend on finishing it, and will post a recorded talk at that time. Apologies to all, especially those that made submissions who could have been slated to present instead.

That’s too bad! What about your student working on posteriordb, maybe they want to talk about it?
I’ll also check with the non-selected people if they have something already prepared to present, it’s a pity to have 25% less content…

Really sad @mike-lawrence , but i can totally understand your struggle, I had also to grind all my materials as I have the same issues like you.

@bnicenboim if you can’t find another speaker, we could also give the rest of the talks more time, which may result in a less hustle through slides and a more relaxed experience.
