Travis gives error for rstan installation

#1

Hi,

I am working on a package that uses rstan:

Installing the package works fine and cmd check is not revealing any errors.
However, travis report errors consistently.
The error I get is:
missing: rstan
The command “Rscript -e ‘deps <- devtools::dev_package_deps(dependencies = NA);devtools::install_deps(dependencies = TRUE);if (!all(deps$package %in% installed.packages())) { message("missing: “, paste(setdiff(deps$package, installed.packages()), collapse=”, ")); q(status = 1, save = “no”)}’” failed and exited with 1 during .

From looking at forums, I gather that there have been more issues with travis and rstan, but I did not find a clear consensus on what to do about it.

Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

I had run into something similar a few weeks ago and put this repo together based on the .travis.yml file for rstanarm: https://github.com/mbjoseph/minimal-rstan-travis

Hopefully that is helpful…
