Struggling to install rstanarm on Linux

Hi,

I’m struggling to install rstanarm - whenever I try my laptop freezes.

I’ve got 8GB RAM on my laptop with Ubuntu 22.04. Running top in a terminal while installing rstanarm shows that essentially all of it is used before my laptop freezes. I just updated R and RStudio to the latest versions but the problem persists.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Installing a pre-compiled package should help. Try installing rstanarm from this repository: GitHub - eddelbuettel/r2u: CRAN as Ubuntu Binaries

Ran the script add_cranapt_jammy.sh and then installed rstanarm from R and it worked like a charm, thanks @fsidias!
