Simulation parameter explanation

I am wondering if there is an explanation of the various parameters I can supply to stan (in my case in rstan) which are mentioned in the manual under control for the stan function (rstan manual, p. 46), such as adapt_engaged, adapt_gamma and other adapt_ parameters. Some are used in Case Studies or elsewhere, but I thought/think there is a place where all of them are explained at once.

I checked in the Stan User’s Guide, the Stan Language Reference Manual and the Stan Language Functions Reference and didn’t find anything.

Check: http://jmlr.org/papers/volume15/hoffman14a/hoffman14a.pdf . The docs (https://mc-stan.org/docs/2_19/reference-manual/hmc-algorithm-parameters.html, somewhere down the page) say that the variable naming should match, though it’s possible something would have changed.
