Just wanted to share my latest public case study on m̶u̶l̶t̶i̶l̶e̶v̶e̶l̶ r̶a̶n̶d̶o̶m̶ ̶e̶f̶f̶e̶c̶t̶s̶ a̶d̶d̶i̶t̶i̶v̶e̶ factor models. The material presents these models from self-consistent conceptual foundation that helps motivate how to build, and when necessary approximate, hierarchical models compatible with one or more factors. There’s also in depth implementation and modeling examples with full Stan code and divergence resolution techniques for building the multifactor model of your dreams.
