Modeling in ecology

Hello EVERYONE, I am new to modeling.

I am a PhD student, and during my data collection, I took measurements on reforested plants (in 2021, so currently 03 years old) in a forest. To assess the biomass and carbon stock, I took diameter and height measurements on 30 plants of different species to model the carbon stock of each species over 50 years (maximum year of exploitation).
I need help with the methodology to follow to obtain results.

I don’t know much about these models myself, but @andrewgelman once worked on tree rings.

Tess O’Brien ( @tesslacoil ) gave a really nice talk on similar measurement data at the ISBA satellite workshop in Lugano this year.
