Mi(): standard error or standard deviation?

I’m using the mi() function in a brm() model where I have measurement error in my y variable. I’m trying to see whether to use standard error or standard deviation, but the one to use seems to change depending on the documentation source. Which is it?

Thank you!

They are one and the same. We are talking about the standard error in the estimate of a particular realization of y, not, for example, the standard error in the estimate of the mean of y.
