Issue installing cmdstan from cmdstanr in windows

I am getting an error message when attempting to install cmdstan from cmdstanr in windows. I originally thought it was an issue with spaces in my directory name but tried just installing to c:/test and same issue.

Had to skip some of the output to fit here but seems error is at the end “mingw32-make: *** [make/program:14: src/cmdstan/main.o] Error 1” but not sure how to fix.

I’m getting the same error in R 4.2.3, also with cmdstanr 0.5.3

I have the same error with 0.5.3 (GitHub download on 24/05/2023)…
