How do you pronounce PSIS?

As in, Pareto-smoothed importance sampling.

I know this is a trivial question, but it does help me understand things when I can confidently pronounce the words I’m reading. I’m also scarred from an experience at a conference where I once pronounced the scientific name of an organism in a radically different way than everyone else (I was one of the first presenters). Embarrassing!

I hope you are familiar with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Using IPA to present how I pronounce it: [psis], which follows the Finnish pronunciation. Sometimes I do also spell it out as /piː/ /ɛs/ /aɪ/ /ɛs/.

Yeah I’ve gotten in the habit of spelling it out.
