Thank you so much for such a comprehensive answer! Good question re. ordinal. To be honest an ordinal model was the first thing I tried a few years ago (regression - New to Bayesian stats, using ordered categorical data, how to interpret/check model? - Stack Overflow) but at the time I simply could not understand, or interpret it so I gave up in favour of something I understood slightly more. I asked here too, but I was so new to bayesian stats that I got completely wrapped up in understanding the link, before I understood anything about priors (Selecting a link function - #3 by martinmodrak) Maybe time to revisit it…I’ll have a think and give your suggestions a go as well. Watch this space… :)
