After a long delay (due to developer travel and some tricky new issues), release candidate 3 for Stan 2.37 was released today.
Besides these resolved issues, the highlight change in this RC is unfortunately a removal: the embedded Laplace approximation is being delayed for one more release cycle. We hope users continue to test this code, which will still be available for users using the source distribution of cmdstan, but we’ve decided it is not quite ready for prime time yet. We’ll share more instructions on how to use it before its inclusion in 2.38 in upcoming posts.
