# \`stan-vim\`: A Vim plugin for Stan

I made a Vim plugin for Stan!

I wasn’t happy with the syntax highlighting provided by existing Vim plugins (they also looked out of date and thinly maintained…), so I just went ahead, learnt a truckload of Vimscript, and made my own.

@eigenfoo Thanks for doing/sharing this! Do you want us to link to this from the _Stan Language Syntax Aware Editors_ section on the Stan website? Right now that’s at the bottom of the [Interfaces](https://mc-stan.org/users/interfaces/) page (but it should probably get its own page when we redo the website).

@jonah That would be really helpful! I could submit a PR for that too. Am I right in thinking that it’s just a one-line change in [this `stan-dev.github.io` file](https://github.com/stan-dev/stan-dev.github.io/blob/master/users/interfaces/index.md)? If so, (and there’s a green light from the Stan devs) I’ll get around to it sometime tomorrow.

Yeah that’s the right file. A PR would be great whenever you want!
