Neat! But reading the post this seems to say that R itself will be compiled to binaries for distribution using LTO right? Compiling packages using LTO on mac is possible right now. Or is there something else Iām missing here?
LTO for Stan programs has worked locally for years on non-Windows, although the binary versions of R packages would not utilize those flags. LTO on Windows with RTools40 feels a lot closer than it was with RTools35 but we still get error messages.
