I need to extrapolate survival probabilities which will inform a cost-effectiveness model. I am fitting a Bayesian hierarchical model using posterior_survfit. However, if I try to set control=list(edist=3600), I get an error message that the baseline hazard cannot be estimated for times which are greater than the maximum follow-up time. Is there anything that can be done about this? If posterior_survfit does not allow extrapolation beyond maximum follow-up time, is there a workaround, e.g. estimating rate and shape parameters of relevant distributions and then estimating survival probabilities via CDF of distributions of interest? I would be very thankful for your help.
