# Error: "object 'storage' not found" when running loo with moment matching

That error shows up with compiler configuration problems: [Error: cannot allocate vector of size 17348.7 Gb - #22 by Elchorro](https://discourse.mc-stan.org/t/error-cannot-allocate-vector-of-size-17348-7-gb/14615/22)

That’s a really long thread, but it’s a variety of getting the compiler paths right, rebuilding packages for an upgraded R, and recompiling old models (where the compiled model was cached somewhere).

1. Are these models that you’ve just run in your Rsession? Or have these been loaded from disk or something?

2. Maybe just try reinstalling loo/brms?

3. Have you upgraded your rstan/brms/R recently that might have caused this?
